Lepton is a currency that we use in order to support our activities. 1. Available Leptons are limited. The number of leptons that exist today is bound to the Global Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as it is published by the World Bank today in USD with 10 Leptons to represent 1 USD of global GDP.
2. Leptons are available in packs, packs range from 1 lepton pack to 10 Million Lepton pack. You can think of packs like the notes of a real world currency.
3. Every Lepton pack has an owner the owner is register with the note entry in the packs database. Every change of owner is a registered in the database otherwise is like never happened.
4. Leptons can be printed. And be given in exchange for anything like a normal currency but the new owner has to verify the validity of the note and then register the change of ownership. Then the printed lepton pack can not be used any more (is invalid). The new owner has to reprint the note in order to give it to someone else.
5. Leptons can be given on-line. In that case you don't have to print anything. The new owner again has to register the change otherwise the pack is not owned and will remain invalid.
6. Lepton pack details and pack owner details are encrypted in the Global Database. The Global Database can be hosted by any trusted authority and is also verified with off-line copies.
7. Despite the the security measures the Global Database may be modified in a proper way by any user as any database in the world. In this case the last know 'good' copy will be restored. In a such case some transactions may be lost and some owners may loose leptons packs. Think about any type of fraud similar that can happen with any type of currency. In such case no authority related to the maintenance of the leptons system (i.e. ActionGrid) can be held responsible. You use Leptons at your own risk.
8. There is no warranty for this service. This service may be stop offered from ActionGrid at any time without any notice.
9. Leptons in ActionGrid are given to people that donate to the ActionGrid the equivalent worth in Euros or in USD.
